With the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic increasing the confidence of IROs in dealing with a crisis, we asked in which particular areas they might find the experience useful. We identified six types of potential crisis and asked IROs to rate the potential utility of recent experience in dealing with such a future event. The potential utility of Covid experience rates highly in every category, with product/service issues the only potential area of crisis where less than two thirds of respondents give an above-neutral score. More than four in 10 IROs give a very high score of 8+ in four of the six categories, with just macroeconomic crisis and product/service issues scoring lower. Between two and three in 10 IROs give a neutral score of five in each of the categories. In no category did any more than 7 percent give a below-neutral rating for how useful recent experiences have been in dealing with a potential crisis.
