Norwegian engineering company Aker Solutions takes best overall IR (small cap) gong
Novo Nordisk and Cyfrowy Polsat were the big winners at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2021, taking home three prizes each at the virtual event.
The Danish pharmaceutical company won best overall IR (large cap), best IR officer (large cap) for Daniel Bohsen and best IR in the healthcare sector.
Polish media and telecommunications group Cyfrowy Polsat, a newcomer to the awards, claimed best overall IR (mid-cap), best IR officer (small to mid-cap) for Grzegorz Para and best IR in the communications sector.
Aker Solutions, the Norwegian engineering firm, won the third major prize of the event: best overall IR (small cap).
BBVA, the Spanish financial services company, also had a good night, picking up gongs for best crisis management and best use of multimedia for IR.

The awards are divided into two sections. The awards by research, which include best overall IR, best IR officer and best in sector, are decided by a survey of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts who cover European companies.
This year, more than 600 portfolio managers and analysts took part in the survey, which was conducted during the first and second quarters of 2021.
The awards by nomination cover a range of areas of IR practice, from annual reports to investor events and IR websites, with the winners selected by a panel of experts.

Held virtually, the 2021 awards featured video acceptance speeches, a range of networking opportunities and audience competitions.
