The IR Magazine Global Roadshow Report 2023 marks our 14th annual deep dive into corporate roadshow activity around the globe. After three years of reports that examined the impact of Covid-19 on international travel, this is the first that will present readers with an impression of how investor relations teams are planning to organize their activity in a post-pandemic world.
The past three editions of this report have examined both in-person and virtual roadshows, and this year’s is no different. Despite pandemic travel restrictions being all but eliminated around the world, companies are offering their stakeholders a blend of events for a number of ongoing reasons. As a result, this report has an equal focus on virtual and in-person roadshow activity, covering frequency and duration, brokers used and cities visited. In some instances, comparisons between current and pre-pandemic activity have been provided. The report further covers the relative satisfaction IROs have with in-person and virtual roadshows.
Findings in this report are taken from the latest round of IR Magazine’s Global IR Survey, carried out in Q3 2023. This report covers the year from Q3 2022 up to Q3 2023 and any references in this report are for this time period unless stated otherwise.
The opening figures featured in the ‘Roadshow overview’ section are based on the total number of respondents who have indicated that they have participated in roadshows, either in person or virtually, over the past year. Any subsequent findings in this report are based on the responses from these roadshow participants only, which means data for both in-person and virtual roadshows includes only respondents who participated in these particular types of roadshows.
Most of the findings in this report have been split by geographical region and company market capitalization. For the purposes of this study, the key regions examined are North America, Europe and Asia, while the categories for market capitalization are defined as follows:
Introduction and respondent data

In-person roadshows
