As travel has opened up post-pandemic, IROs appear much more satisfied with in-person roadshows than virtual roadshows during the 12 months between Q3 2022 and Q3 2023.
Just under three quarters (72 percent) of those who held in-person roadshows over that period give a high satisfaction rating of eight or more out of 10, with 18 percent giving a perfect 10 score. The average satisfaction rating for in-person roadshows is nine out of 10. This compares with 45 percent of those who rate virtual roadshows at eight or more out of 10, with virtual roadshows gaining an average rating of 8.1 out of 10.
Satisfaction with in-person roadshows has decreased slightly since last year’s Global Roadshow Report, when it was at 74 percent, while satisfaction with virtual roadshows has increased by nearly the same amount from 42 percent to 45 percent.
Regionally, North American respondents are slightly less satisfied than average with their in-person roadshows, while Asian IROs are more satisfied than the global average. When viewed according to company size, mega-cap IROs are generally the most satisfied with in-person roadshows, while large caps are most satisfied with the virtual format.
