On March 25, IR Magazine hosted its second ever virtual US Awards. Given the year we’ve all lived through, it was a welcome opportunity to celebrate the achievements of so many wonderful IR teams.
Many of the winners demonstrated agility and a commitment to transparency when navigating the professional challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic – racking up countless hours on Zoom, WebEx, Teams and other platforms speaking to investors, analysts and senior management. This is embodied by the winners of our biggest awards: best overall investor relations, best investor relations officer and best IR by a senior management team.
Some of our winners – especially in the best investor events and best use of technology & social media categories – demonstrated a commitment not just to getting by during the challenging circumstances of the last year, but also flourishing. The winners and nominees in these categories can be held up as examples of how IR teams can use digital tools to good effect long after we’ve returned to in-person meetings.
To that end, we hope to return to an in-person awards ceremony next year, but thoroughly enjoyed the virtual format this year, enhanced by one-to-one networking, roundtable drinks receptions and live interviews with selected winners. Thank you to all who tuned in, sponsored or submitted a nomination. Click through this article to see a list of this year’s winners.
