Senior management IR days
North American senior managers spent an average of 35 days in total on IR in the past year, down 11 days from 2019 and representing a drop of nearly a quarter of the time spent the previous year by senior management on IR. Overall, North American CEOs typically spent more time on IR than CFOs, although this is due to the amount of time small-cap CEOs spend on IR, as CFOs in every other cap size spend more time on IR than do CEOs. Senior managers at smaller North American companies spend significantly more time on IR than at larger companies. This is due to the fall in the number of days spent on IR by CEOs as company size increases, as time spent by CFOs is largely unchanged through the cap sizes. North American mega-cap CEOs spend half the time that mid-cap chief executives spend on IR and just a third of the time spent by small-cap CEOs.
