The IR Magazine Global IR Salary & Careers Report 2022 is our latest report looking at the current level of salaries and bonuses paid to IR professionals, both IR heads and IROs. Further investigation is made into changes in pay and bonuses experienced since the report’s last publication in 2020. The report also looks into the previous roles IR professionals had before joining investor relations, as well as the responsibilities outside of IR they have in their current role. We further look at the education levels of IR professionals and what professional qualifications and training they have attained. And we continue our investigation into the gender gap by comparing the roles of men and women working in investor relations, along with their pay and bonus levels. This year we also look at the demands of the job and how this has changed for professionals since they first started working in IR. We further examine the aspirations of IROs and what factors they consider important to their career development.
This report is based on 667 responses to IR Magazine’s Global IR Survey. Salary and bonus data is taken from surveys conducted from Q1 to Q4 2021, while fieldwork for all other data took place in Q4 2021 and Q1 2022.
